Bolivian Army Clashes with Protesters

The Bolivian Army took control of the city of El Alto on the outskirts of La Paz, clashing with groups of protesters in incidents that left at least three dead, as the government of Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada faced the country's worst crisis since democracy was restored in 1982.
