Herman Webster Mudgett

Herman Webster Mudgett, also known as Dr. Henry Howard Holmes, was a serial killer who confessed to 27 murders. The number of victims are suspected to be higher (upto 230). His killing spree was between 1888 and 1894 in Chicago (Illinois), Irvington (Indiana), Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) and Toronto (Ontario, Canada).

He was executed on May 7, 1896 by hanging.
